Police, helicopter searching for skier missing since Sunday in Labrador
HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. — Police and ground crews are searching for a missing skier in Labrador.
Leon Felthan, from Gander, N.L., had gone cross-country skiing on Sunday near the Mud Lake area on the Churchill River. Felthan, 37, had planned to return a few hours later, but was reported missing Monday when he didn't appear.
RCMP say a vehicle belonging to him was located in the area.
Searchers began looking Monday and are continuing efforts Tuesday with the help of a helicopter.
